About [riri wears red]

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Riri, a talkative and sassy Upper East Side girl that loves getting dressed and shopping for my next signature item. I was actually born in Japan but grew up in New York City for most of my life. I calmed down a bit after studying for four years in a university in Southern California and traveling around Southeast Asia for over two years but I'll always be a New Yorker at heart. This is where I'm at right now, the greatest city in the universe.

I'm a sucker for good food (because who isn't), good literature and a good workout. The name of the blog comes from the fact that I really like wearing red and that I look good in it. I don't have too many red pieces in my closet now but I need to change that. Nothing makes me feel more badass than wearing some bold red clothing.

In the past, I've used this blog to post snippets of ideas and pictures and occasionally daily outfit posts as well. I want to open it again up to write more about fashion, style and beauty from my point of view. Some pictures are borrowed from my Instagram @ririwearsred and I'll talk about them more in detail. You'll find a lot of jewelry and shoes, daily outfits every now and then and some beauty products I use. I look around me for inspiration and if there's a window display or something that intrigues me, I'll share those as well. I might feature friends who dress well because they're awesome.

I'm all about focusing on the details so a majority of my blog posts will be about the small, yet important, details of my style. My current obsessions include gold jewelry and midi skirts. I like to keep my style classy and these pieces epitomizes that. I always prioritize quality over quantity.

After a billion failed attempts at trying to keep a blog alive, I decided to opt for a simpler style of blogging where I share a picture and the story behind it. I finally have a smartphone that takes quality pictures (iPhone 6 Plus, yeah!) so now it's incredibly easy going around taking pictures of whatever I like. I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers,

Riri
